- Soil: Any sunny location with adequate drainage.
- Position: From full sun to afternoon shadow.
- Frost tolerant: Buckwheat cannot withstand chilly temperatures.
- Feeding: When using buckwheat to repair particularly poor soil, it is best to put in a balanced organic fertilizer before planting.
